Digital Consultant

The role

At NDP our digital consultants lead our business development. The role involves working with and leading our prospects and clients relationships. We work with clients and prospects in developing their requirements and assessing and proposing solutions, creating proposition, proposals and pitching.  Then, once the project is underway, monitoring the project through production, post-launch and most importantly providing strategic input to the client across the life-cycle of the relationship.

We help clients separate and identify the real digital opportunity from hype, we manage and iterate on delivery to ensure that digital technology investment delivers business results.

Our aim is to shape the digital agenda of our clients, create the next generation of digital solutions and transform end-to-end journeys and usability, using advanced analytics to test learn and iterate.

About you

You will have background experience as a digital consultant or strategist, you will be comfortable with client relationships and business development, you may come from agency or client side.

You will have an excellent understanding of digital strategy and production, both from a content and technology perspective, and be confident in understanding clients business goals while turning these into opportunities. You will be experienced, analytical and driven to deliver results. You will be used to and comfortable in working with clients, delivering advice and consultative services and creating opportunities.

You are highly client and success-oriented. The role involves responding to opportunities and leading client relationships through the business development process - scoping and framing projects for clients from all sectors. You will be comfortable with income targets and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be able to understand a client requirement, define a potential solution taking inputs from appropriate production colleagues, and present this back to the client.

Skills

We are looking for someone with an exceptional understanding of digital. We are a data-driven agency and use this to create results for our clients. You need to be comfortable with an applied use of data and analytics to drive requirements and ideation and ultimately meet client demands.

You should be confident working autonomously and able to put solutions and recommendations to clients while showing good story-telling and client leadership skills.

  • Well-organised - you should be able to manage your own workload, prioritise work and meet your client commitments.

  • Digitally smart - the success of the job comes down to knowing how the digital world works, and having a curiosity and passion for all things digital.

  • Proven expertise in configuring and interpreting enterprise Analytics tools including Google Analytics / Tag Manager

  • Great communication - there is a lot of talking, writing and presenting. You must feel confident doing these things in a client facing role.

  • Ability to work with and translate client and prospect needs and requirements into detailed briefs, scopes and proposals that we can deliver on.

  • Consultative approach to client relationships. The ability to help clients evolve requirements and translate these into opportunities.

  • Great team worker. You will be comfortable in leading a client response and managing internal resources to deliver the best offering possible.

  • Very good level of technical understanding across digital environments with preferably direct experience in working with CMS’s; Drupal experience would be really beneficial and put you ahead of the pack.    

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, responsive and active. All things client facing with the energy to succeed in this role. You will most likely be well networked.

Responsibilities

  • Taking client requirements and reimagining the opportunity. Providing professional advice of a standard that wins business opportunities.

  • Owning and managing target across existing and new client opportunities.

  • Lead relationship owner on selected strategic clients. Running these client relationships at all levels across all stakeholders.

  • Relationship management across the client life-cycle, including ongoing consultancy, strategic reviews.

  • Providing consultant-level support to the team and client as projects move through the studio, and beyond.

  • Forecasting and managing a business development pipeline.

  • Understand client needs and articulate appropriate solutions/services while being able to identify and minimise risks.

  • Passion for digital and advanced analytics topics and trends

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Providing technical guidance and developing appropriate strategies

  • Managing and delivering RFPs/RFI

You’ll be working within a team of other experienced consultants, often collaboratively.

Package

£70k basic + with commission
